Expat Women Academy - Global Coach Center

If you could RAPIDLY and SIGNIFICANTLY improve your life as an expat, what would that be worth to you?

Recently I had a chance to interview expat women and here is what they told me:

Do any of these statements apply to you?

  • I feel lonely, isolated and disconnected
  • I have a sense of dissatisfaction with life because of not being able to work and earn my own
  • I feel resentful towards my spouse for having to depend on him a lot more
  • I feel guilty for not enjoying my expat opportunities more
  • I feel the pressure to create a great life for my kids and my spouse
  • I go through overwhelm and frustration more often than I care to admit
  • Sometimes I feel like I lost a sense of who I am

If you answered yes to any of them, it’s a sign that you are not fully happy.  Time to change that – don’t you think?

What do most expats usually do when they are not happy?  Perhaps they confide in a friend, find an expat community to complain to, speak to their spouses, or Skype with family at home.  All this helps, of course, and yet – challenges persist.  Why?  Because, while the loved ones are a great source of support, most of the time this is not the kind of support expats need.

The kind of support they need comes only from coaching.  I know that – I speak from experience of having coached many expatriates on these same issues and having watched them transform their lives.  Individual coaching works wonders and the numbers speak for themselves – 98% of those who try it, hire a coach.

Yet engaging private coaching it’s not always possible for everyone.  We recognize that and that is why we decided to collect years of coaching knowledge and tools and put them together into an INTERACTIVEMULTI-MEDIA program that offers GROUP SUPPORT, ACCOUNTABILITY and one-on-one COACHING experience for expat women.

Module 1:  Start with You

It all begins with you.  Steve jobs said it best: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”  All too often we end up doing what’s expected of us and what we think we should do to fit in.  Yet our best music remains deep inside us. Isn’t it time you let yours out?

  • Who are you and who do you want to be?
  • How do you find YOUR place in the midst of it all?
  • How do you manage all the change?

For perhaps the very first time in your life, indulge in thinking just about yourself, about where you are and where you want to be. You are your biggest asset.  Invest in yourself.  Re-discover who you were meant to be.

Everything else will follow.

Module 2: Continue with Others.

Being disconnected and lonely was cited as #1 challenge by all the women I spoke to.  If it’s something you’ve struggled with, this module will teach you how to create relationships that nurture you – and how to rock the relationships you already have.

And, of course, a bonus – you’ll connect with other participants in a most profound and transformative way you’ve ever known!

Module 3:  Proceed to Professional You.

This module serves both working and non-working women.

  • How do I re-define my professional career?
  • What do I do to maintain my sanity if I cannot work right now?
  • How do I enjoy my time off and leave the guilt of financial dependence at the door?

Money, career, and limiting beliefs about both get real attention in this module – attention that they rarely get elsewhere.

Module 4: Get Some Balance.

Let’s be honest.  Expat women – working or not – bear the brunt of the move.  We do, and we are expected to do, A LOT.

  • How to find and keep the balance?
  • How to manage overwhelm and stress?
  • How to exercise self-care?

You must remember that you are part of the equation.  A very important part.  This module teaches you how to ALWAYS pay attention to that.

Module 5: Clean House.

Feelings of guilt and shame often follow us like shadows.  It’s an art and a skill to be able to separate the voice of your inner critic and guilt committee from the voice of you – your wise self.  This module gives you the tools that you can use over and over again to disengage from guilt, shame, self-criticism, self-loathing, and self-depreciation.

Clean your house – send your critic away.  Life will be much more colorful without him/her.
